I didn't have a chance to tell you earlier, but if it's any comfort, Ginny was right about the Puceys. Dauphine and the two little ones, her nieces, came with us. They're at Moddey now. And we're hoping that the others--the ones taken to hospital and the ones who ran from the attack--will find their way here. We'd done our job persuading them before we were overrun, and if they'd needed any further convincing, that surely will have accomplished it.
And we sent a team to Letitia Calderwood. She was to be next on our list. Ginny had met her while she was modelling. There was a feature run on the two of them, past and present Purest Sparkle girls, and they'd made a connection? I'm not certain. In any case, the team today managed to persuade her that she was likely to be MLE's next target--which she surely would have been, as she was so freshly in Ginny's thoughts--and she agreed to shelter with us. I believe they took her to one of the safe houses we're using for people who need careful evaluation and orientation before we can decide how far to trust them and where they'd be best suited. So our work today bore fruit, though it was costly indeed.
It wasn't for nothing, then. I'll try to hang on to that.
I tried to convince Alice of this, but please, will you tell her I said it to you, too? I don't blame her. She knows what this is like, and I won't turn against her, I won't let Bellatrix win that way.
I was going to ask for a calming draught, but I think not. If I stay up all night crying, I don't give a damn.
I will speak with Alice, of course. I'm sure she knows she can count on you always, though, just as you know that she will keep faith with you through whatever may come. We have one another, and that is something Bellatrix Lestrange cannot fathom and can never take from us.
I respect your decision about the calming draught. It's my firm belief that weeping properly is therapeutic. Should you change your mind at any point, do send an elf for me. At whatever time.

I am so very sorry, Molly.
