It's an important date in a young man's life. I certainly wish that I could be there with you (as well as your father), but we'll have a proper belated celebration the next time the train brings you home.

(Do let me know if this morning's owl arrives safely, won't you? You won't recognise it--I hired one at the public owl office that specialises in delivering packages that are fragile. I trust I wrapped it well enough, too.)

Well, if you were REALLY nostalgic for surprise hexes, we're sure Neville could oblige, but we figured you probably had your fill of that sort of thing, given this jolly competition you're mucking about with at the moment.

Oh, which reminds us...when you get our basket, sometime when you're all alone, take the ribbon from the handle, untie it, lay it out flat and tap your wand on the non-shiny side with the command 'Aparecium!' You'll see words appear with suggestions on how some of the things in the basket can be used for, shall we say, non-standard purposes which might be helpful if you're in a tight spot..
