Evelyn told me that she knew what it was like to not have a body to bury, and that she believed in her heart of hearts that leaving Crouch's body to the elements was deeply morally wrong -- especially when there was someone left alive who would mourn him and whose religious beliefs would view it as an extreme violation.
I am furious with her, and disappointed, and baffled, and heartsick, but I can see why she believed herself to be so obligated.
